I live and work in rural Haiti now and I've lived and worked in North Korea before. I've seen the differences and the similarities. North Korea struggles with a totalitarian regime, famine and corruption, but just because it's one of the "most inhumane places to live" doesn't mean that Haitians are that much better off. Malnourishment and poverty is at the same level as sub-saharan Africa here, I see people suffer every day because of corrupt Haitian officials.
Transparency International uses a standardized set of performance indicators, the ranking does not represent their subjective view on Haiti. Go through the report, look at the individual indicators and tell me they're not lying when they see that Haiti is not one of the most corrupt countries in the world.
You try to facilitate business in Haiti, and that includes more responsibilities than just polishing its image to foreign investors. I would suggest you take a more constructive approach - look at the facts and tell us what needs to be fixed for Haiti to prosper, because there are people out there that struggle with this corruption every single day and they need your help.
