Director of Programs (Haiti)

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY INTERNATIONAL (HFHI) is currently seeking a seasoned and dedicated non-profit management professional to fill the key role of Director of Programs (Haiti). The Director of Programs (Haiti) provides leadership and direction to the design and implementation of the housing construction program for Habitat for Humanity International-Haiti’s earthquake recovery efforts on a national level in Haiti. It provides strategic program design support to Haiti leadership in developing a strategy which leads to a strong multi-year program focused on supporting reconstruction efforts including scaled implementation of transitional shelters and settlement level core shelter solutions
RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Oversees the development, functioning and management of the Habitat Resource Centers at field sites throughout Haiti to deliver housing in alignment with project proposals (budget, timescales, deliverables, and impact)
*Travel to current/proposed project areas to perform assessments, project formulation and implementation
*Works on knowledge transfer by identifying and coaching local staff towards increasing the organizational capacity and long term sustainability of the programs
*Manages expatriate and local program staff
*Manages a team of subject matter experts including architects, engineers, and related program staff or consultants as projects require
*Provides oversight, monthly analysis and manages the project budgets ensuring efficient and effective use of resources
*Manages and ensures effectiveness of the logistics and supply chain to the field sites for materials / goods / tools / labor
*Develops implementation systems with minimize exposure and risk on the projects
*Ensures that adequate monitoring and evaluation is conducted for all projects
*Provide programmatic details to resource development team for funding proposals
*Promote/advocate HFHI's disaster response programs for donor knowledge and public awareness
*Oversees the contingency planning for emergency shelter kits for seasonal disasters
*Works cross-functionally with headquarters staff and other departments in Haiti to ensure effective program delivery as per approved contractual and donor requirements and overall organizational commitments
*Engages with extensive networking with key disaster response and volunteer management organizations (American Red Cross, Crisis Corps, etc.) and associated organizations in the shelter cluster
*Provides regular reports to HFHI and other stakeholders

Qualifications / Evaluations:: 
*7+ years in construction management leadership roles, including experience managing multiple sites *5+ years of project management experience *Willingness to manage overall projects strategically but step in operationally when needed *Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to develop a team to accomplish a mission *Experience working in a developing country context *Fluency in English *Strong skills in written and oral communication, problem-solving, details, multi-tasking, and organization as well as a positive attitude PREFERRED: *3-5 years’ experience in non-profit program coordination *Experience with knowledge transfer *Experience with Habitat for Humanity, including Habitat's international work and team travel *Language skills in French or Haitian Creole

I am very happy toknow how Haiti will become a country commercial with many jobs for the haitian people .This is good idea , Magazines Forbes continue for the successfull in Haiti . But I am Geffrard Alphonse ,a person who live in the Dominican Republic a technician in Ingineering industrial and agriculture I would like cooperate with the Haiti Startup because I can give my knowledge for the development of my country and I am secretary general of the Foundatian Good Samaritan for helping the person in Dangerous .
