US Coordinator of an International NGO

Position Summary The position of the US Coordinator of Haiti Medical Education (HME) Project, which is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization working on higher medical education in Haiti, offers an opportunity to work with all personnel and partners of the organization in Haiti, North America and Europe. It will provide a ground for quick competency growth in all areas of international NGO functions, while working among passionate and committed colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative support:

Draft routine correspondence
Assist with administrative and logistical issues such as travel arrangements for professors and staff
Translate materials French - English
Produce expense reports and invoices
Create and manage simple databases on excel

Development support:

Search for grant opportunities and put together grant proposals material
Follow up with donors

Website support:

Support updating website
Manage medical education material
Follow up with new inquiries on web site
Assist with social media activity

Medical education support:

Manage classes’ schedule, operational execution, and faculty support
Manage medical education material

Qualifications / Evaluations:: 
Excellent verbal and writing skills in English; French and Haitian Creole a plus. Bachelor’s degree Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated Creative and independent thinking Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel Social media user/web proficient (experience with CMS/blogging a plus) Basic statistics knowledge Strong team player Comfortable with learning new technologies Commitment and passion for the work of HME and for social justice are a must
