Health and Safety Manager-Construction-Haiti

Our client is searching for a Health and Safety Manager to join their team on a 12 month contract. The successful candidate will be required to provide strategic planning, support, advice and assistance to management teams to ensure all Health and Safety activities meet statutory and company requirements.

Job Responsibilities:
As Health and Safety Manager, your responsibilities will be:
Compiling routine management reports
Maintaining accurate records and audit trails
Update and advise on aspects of health and safety influence strategic planning for safety within the business
Ability to assess the commercial implications of plans and actions taken
Work with the operation to develop Health and Safety continual improvement
Maintain all safety documentation as per company requirements
Performance measurement of others and by providing regular feedback and coaching as required, Leading in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks; fire drills
Advising on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases
Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented;
