Qualifications / Evaluations::
Relevant field experience in a humanitarian setting, preferably with construction-related projects. Strong understanding of construction and urban planning. Must be able to effectively manage and direct personnel. Strong communication skills require fluency in English (speaking, reading, writing) and spoken French; Creole also desirable. Prior project proposal development; report and proposal writing; financial, budget and administrative management. Proficient with MS Office.
Relevant university degree in management, engineering, social science or other relevant subject desirable. Must be able to manage and prioritize a heavy workload and multiple tasks in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines. Ability to work under stressful conditions and to remain flexible and calm under pressure. Able to proactively identify and address issues, utilizing strong problem solving and organizational skills, both in day-to-day and stressful situations. Able to establish strong working relationships with colleagues from different functions and cultures. Experience in emergency preparedness and response. Willing to live and work in challenging conditions.
