TECHNICAL SPECIALIST (CLIMATE CHANGE)

Developed countries are the biggest producers of greenhouse gas emissions but these are developing countries that remain most vulnerable to its impacts. Because of its weak economy, lack of institutional capacity, the continued deterioration of its ecosystems, unplanned urbanization of its coastal areas, lack of reliable environmental information, Haiti is one of those countries developing that may suffer adverse effects of climate change.
Qualifications / Evaluations::
Education
At least a diploma from the 2nd cycle (Master or PhD) in climate change, sustainable development, risk reduction or other field related to adaptation to climate change
Experience
7 years of professional experience in fields related to climate change adaptation at national and / or regional level in developing countries;
Experience working in international organizations and the UN system in particular;
Demonstrated experience in climate change and investment frameworks humanitarian and development
Minimum five years experience as Technical Consultant with proven skills.
Language Capabilities
Proficiency in French and English oral and written;
Good communication skills and writing
