TVET Technical Specialist - Haiti
by admin | August 18, 2011 - 3:05amMTC International Development is seeking long-term or short-term TVET Technical Specialist for an anticipated program in Haiti. The Technical Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the development of TVET programs and training. TVET-related experience to include: curricula development for vocational training; teacher training; facilities upgrades; development of national skills standards; conducting gaps or labor market analyses; conducting large scale work experience programs; familiarity with vocational and employ-ability skills development.
Qualifications / Evaluations::
Bachelor’s degree, Masters and PhD degrees are preferred, and at least 5 years of experience working on education/training projects outside of the U.S.
- Experience as a team member or consultant for technical vocational projects or workforce development projects in a developing, or transitioning country. This should include experience in a variety of labor market environments, such as: construction, textiles, agriculture and food processing, computer operations, tailoring, electronics, automobile and truck repair, hospitality/food service, or tourism.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to work under pressure with limited guidance.
- Experience with donor-funded programs required; USAID and/or Haiti experience preferred.
