Vehicle Fleet and Logistics Manager, Port-au-Prince, Haiti

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Vehicle Fleet and Logistics Manager is responsible for the overall vehicle fleet management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Establish a layout design for vehicle dispatch and control work Centre(s), considering such factors as workflow, equipment, tools and supplies (bench stock if applicable).
Establish local vehicle fleet management procedures for assigning and using World Vision owned, leased, or rented motor vehicles. Ensure procedures comply with Regional Office and World Vision Vehicle Management policy.

Qualifications / Evaluations:: 
REQUIRED: 5 - 10 years experience in vehicle fleet management. Preference in third world countries Must have experience in managing large fleets up to 250 vehicles and 200 motorcycles Experience in vehicle fleet management systems to utilise the optimization of the fleet PREFERRED: French and English

Logistics Delegate - Demand Management (Team Leader), Haiti

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the world's largest humanitarian organization, providing assistance without discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions. PURPOSE

Qualifications / Evaluations:: 
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (REQUIRED) Basic training course for delegates or equivalent knowledge (REQUIRED) Professional qualification in logistics or equivalent knowledge (REQUIRED) EXPERIENCE 5 years' experience in managing and supporting staff logistics, specifically in procurement, customs clearance, transportation and warehousing (REQUIRED) Working for the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement (PREFERRED) Working for a humanitarian aid organization in a developing country (PREFERRED) SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE Proficient in basic computer software programmes (Microsoft Office, Windows, Spreadsheets) (REQUIRED) Valid international driving license for light vehicles (manual gears) (REQUIRED) Skills in training and developing staff (REQUIRED) LANGUAGES English at an advanced level, written and spoken (REQUIRED) French at an intermediate level, spoken (REQUIRED) Spanish at an introductory level. Spoken (REQUIRED) COMPETENCIES National Society Relations Results Focus and Accountability Teamwork Communications Professional Mastery Leadership Managerial Effectiveness HEALTH: Malaria and Dengue fever is present in Haiti and HIV prevalence is high, Diarrhoea due to poor water and sanitation. Vaccinations required: Measles, Tetanus, Polio, Mumps, Rubella, Diphtheria, Pertussis and Varicella Strongly recommended: Hepatitis A and B Typhoid and Cholera, Pandemic influenza A (H1N1) 2009, Meningitis and Rabies.
